Wyoming taxpayers spent an average of $16,442 per student on education. When you add in the federal dollars we are close to $18,000 per student. And yet parents have very little say as to what their children learn. I believe parents should have a choice of how their children are educated. I am a proponent of school choice. I believe education funds should follow students to the schools or services that best fit their needs—whether that’s to a public school, private school, charter school, home school or any other learning environment parents choose for their kids.
